The big birthday!

My Baby Girl is ONE!!! I can't believe how fast time flies!!!

She's walking now (as of about 2 weeks ago) and starting to talk, dancing like crazy and making a fast getaway up the stairs any chance she gets!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!! (She just woke up that morning.)

Opening presents. This particular one Caleb picked out himself for his sister and he helped momma wrap it too.

Just after eating supper-She gets a little cranky and impatient when she's hungry.

Here's the CAKE!!!! She didn't quite know what to do when it was set down in front of her, but she got the hang of it once I put a small taste on her lips. She made a good mess-messier than her big bro was.

Caleb couldn't quite wait for his piece-he had to sample some of hers. My mom was holding him watching her eat and he said he wanted to get down so she let him and he ran over and decided to lick her cake. Luckily, she didn't mind.

I was trying to get a picture with them both smiling, but as you can see, it was one or the other!

Cookin' in the kitchen with mommy! One of the rare times Ellie was alone and able to do things without some help from her big bro!

Ellery's first finger painting. She did most of it on her own, but wasn't too sure of the paint especially how it tasted!

She shuddered when she put some in her mouth. I got video of it and I couldn't help but laugh at her-aren't I naughty!

Here is Caleb by our new tree-he calls it his tree. When we planted it, he kissed it and told it to grow big-with some prompts from mommy.

In the van-his favorite place to be! Before we know it, he will be able to drive! It's so crazy how fast they grow up!

Summer Fun

Here we are at the Fire Muster Parade. The kids are sharing a bomb pop. It was a sticky mess, but they enjoyed it!

Caleb really enjoyed the fire trucks and he even got to jump in a few and drive them.

Ellery's first time in pigtails. As you can see, it didn't go very well. But, once momma picked her up, she was all better. I told her that it was a right of passage.

Ready for cousin Nick's birthday party.

This was about the third time we did pigtails. It went much better when she wasn't able to get away. She still cried, but it went much quicker and then she was better. Isn't she the cutest!

Look what a big girl she is. This was on July 28th-she isn't quite walking yet though.

This is my co-worker Amy's baby Hunter. We had a go with 3 kids on the 28th while Amy and Brad went to a wedding.

Ellery wanted to get Hunter! I wanted to get a good pic of them all together, but I think that would have been too much to ask from all 3 of them.

June and July

I'm sorry that it has been such a long time since I have posted, but as most of you know, my dad was in the hospital for 33 days starting in June. I was a bit preoccupied with that situation so hopefully the rest of our summer will be a little less crazy and I will be more able to post regularly. I wanted to include a picture of my dad when he was in the ICU, but I don't quite have the copy. Maybe I will include it next time if he is okay with me putting it out there.



So....



Tim's sister Lynn and her family were here last week to visit. They live in Georgia and come to see us one or two times per year. We went up to Tim's other sister Janet's inlaw's lake home for a few days to have some family time. It was hot, but we had a really nice time.

Then almost all of the rest of the crew: Dave(driving) Nick again, Nate, Janet, Katy and Scott. Andrew didn't want to be in either picture.

As you can see, Ellery didn't enjoy her life preserver too much!

Caleb is OBSESSED (as some of you know) with keys and cars and driving. He got to drive quite a few times with Uncle Dave on the boat. Now he really likes Uncle Dave!






We went to the "club" on their lake one of the days and tried to have Caleb swim in the pool with his cousins, but he just wanted to watch.





This was about as far as he got and my was he freaking out about that. He was trying to give those goggles to Nate, but then he realized that he was so far into the water and immediately had to get out!

Ellery had a fabulous time in the water with Auntie. She is quite the water baby.

Around the 4th of July we went to the beach by our house.

Again, Ellery loved the water. Here she is tasting some sand despite my efforts to keep it out of her mouth!
Caleb did go in the water for a few minutes when I was in further with Ellery. Not for very long though.

Baby got a new pair of shoes. This was the first pair that she actually knew she had on. She just wanted to eat them.

Caleb and Myla when we met up with Tonya for an outdoor kids concert. After the concert, Caleb and Myla found this tree and ran round and round for about 30 minutes-it was kinda crazy!

Here is Caleb at the town fair. This was his first experience with rides. He seems to like them.
At the water park. We did better with this one. There were more things to do and he even went with mommy down the lazy river a few times.

My friend from work's big boy-Maddox came over to play with Ellery. He's a month younger than she!

More of the pool. She just loves to be in the water!
