Thanksgiving wishes and Santa Claus tales.

BRRRR! We had a ton of snow a few days ago and Caleb was chomping at the bit to get outside before he went down for a nap that afternoon. Tim said he asked him if he could go outside and see the snow about 30 times! However, when it came time after nap to go, he was very hesitant. Once he got out there though, he had a lot of fun. Ellie finally got to go out too! She had lots of fun out there, but I only let her out for a little while-it was so cold! Caleb and dad are going to go out again this afternoon and he'll probably want to work on a snowfort or something. This age is so fun most of the time but if any of you have suggestions for getting him to sleep at night, please let me know. He has been a total nightmare since we have been trying to have them both sleep in the same room. Some nights he is up until 10 pm. It's getting to be enough!

We took the kids to see Santa this weekend. Caleb said he was going to sit on Santa's lap and tell him what he wanted, but he ended up just sitting there-as you can see-and not saying much of anything. There were no smiles for Santa this year-maybe next year!

We were all smiles afterwards though! Ellie really learned to clap well while we were at the mall. She loved the music that was playing and she just danced and clapped and was all smiles!

See! All smiles!
Caleb was goofing off and listening to the music that was playing. There was a group with drums and instruments and everything. He would have stayed all night and listened to them play.

Shooting hoops! She just learned how to shoot and now she really likes bringing the ball to anyone who will play with her. Dad's hoping for one of them to be an "aflete"

Ain't she just the cutest Ms Claus?
Not so sure what the issue was here, but she is starting to get ticked when something isn't the way she wants it! Sassy, I call it!
Putting his ornament on the tree. Caleb was very impressed with "his" christmas tree again this year. He asks at least once a day "can we go down and see my christmas tree"
Ellery's first time hanging ornaments. She was very gentle with the tree and will just look if you remind her to do so. She loved mommy's favorite ornament as a kid-the birdies which Grandma G still says mommy stole from her!
Checking out the beautiful stockings that Grandma G made for all of us. She just finished mine and Tim's this year so now our mantle is complete-no more mismatched stockings.

Hey Tex! We found these fun cowboy boots in the box that came from Auntie Lynn in Georgia. He wore them a few times, but I don't know how comfortable they are because now he doesn't want to wear them. They were fun for a few days!
Hey! I wanna come too!!!! Caleb and daddy went outside a few weeks ago when it was lightly snowing, but Ellie and mommy had to stay inside because we didn't yet have outdoor playgear for Ellie. She was pretty sad when daddy came in to hand off the camera and didn't take her out.

Ready to go eat a turkey dinner! In her faux fur coat and hat and scarf that I had to make for her.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Chillin' with uncle Dave after an awesome turkey dinner. Well, we thought so at least. Caleb wasn't so in to the turkey dinner-just as I had suspected.
Goofing off with cousin Nate Love for the auntie!

Cute kiddos!! I can't wait for our first x-mas memories! Oh, and by the way, i tasted my frozen milk...yuck, gross, ugh! It was so nasty, bitter, sour. Fresh milk taste just fine, you were right. He still drinks it just fine, but I guess we'll see how long that lasts!
