Photos with Diane

These are photos from Diane.  As usual, they turned out AWESOME even though she didn't think so.  My favorites are the second one and the last one.  I tried to turn them so they were oriented correctly, but for some reason, it failed 2x so you'll have to enjoy them this way.  Also, I don't know if I will ever get to my birth story.  I guess I didn't realize??  how crazy busy I would be.  Oh well, life is good anyway!

Tim would LOVE to superimpose a Carolina Tar Heels shirt on her for this one.
Maybe we'll figure that out in our spare time!

She's here!

Welcome to the world Anissa Livian!
She was born on July 12th 2010 at 8:34 am
She weighed 8 lbs 3 3/4 oz
She was 20 inches long

Our happy family!

Ellie holding Anissa for the first time.  Caleb said he didn't want to hold her.  Since we have been home, he has held her every day, several times a day.  He is always asking to hold her and is being a great help to mom.  Ellery usually follows suit and asks to hold her as soon as Caleb does and then gets mad when he gets to first.  It's pretty cute, they are both really interested in what she is doing and are being great helpers!
Isn't she lovely.
Fresh out.
With the hat from Cindy at work.  Isn't it cute!
Grandma G holding Anissa for the first time.
Grammy
Grandma Frisk loving her up!

 Uncle Jon.

My night girls!  Kimberly, Mary, Dawn and Heidi.  I work every weekend that I work nights with Dawn and Mary and sometimes with Heidi and Kimberly.  They are a fun group of girls.  I was glad to have them there the night we stayed at the hospital.  It was fun to go out and talk to them-even though I was supposed to be sleeping!!
This is Heidi Sue.  She was my labor coach and I couldn't have done my labor the way I did without her.  She is an awesome labor coach and I can't ever thank her enough!
Dr Struthers delivered all three of my babies.  I was so glad that she was there for this one too!
Sweet sleeping baby.
The going home outfit.  All three kids went home in this outfit.  I know it was July, but we had to bring Anissa home in it too despite the fact that it was long sleeve and had feet.  At least she was in air conditioning the whole time.

"oh mom, she's crying"
A few days before Anissa was born, Caleb was "hugging" Ellery and somehow hurt her finger.  She started crying and Caleb immediately ran into our room and shut the door.  Tim asked him why he did that and he said "because she is crying" he laughed and said that soon there would be a whole lot more crying...Caleb's response-"wew, I'm gonna go into a room and shut the door."  Thankfully, he has done really well with Anissa crying and has even held her and tried to put her pacifier in her mouth when she is. :)
Auntie Janet, Nick, Nate and Papa Bob came over on thursday afternoon to meet Anissa.

Uncle Ben made a surprise visit late Thursday night.  It was so nice of him to come and meet Anissa.  He just showed up on our doorstep.  Thanks Ben for coming.  It was really good to see you!
That's all for now folks.

Hope you enjoyed the pictures.  I am planning on writing up my birth story because I want to, so if you want to read the story, check back maybe next week and I will have written that story.  Thanks for keeping up with us!

This post is a little heavy on the Ellery...I have finally gotten the desire to post her dance pictures.  The whole work thing stressed me out to the point that I pretty much didn't do much besides mope about that.  It took a lot out of me.  Finally, we have reached a resolution, for now.  I am sure there is more to come with the staffing issue since most people I know are not really satisfied with what became of that issue, but for now at least we get to work which is a GREAT thing.  I must apologize for waiting so long if any of you really wanted to see these pictures-I think they are really cute!!!

This is the morning of her recital.  I did her hair in sponge rollers.  She doesn't LOVE them, but they sure turn out cute.  This is her version of an afro-it did loosen up a bit.  Tim was laughing at her while he was taking this picture, which is why the sad face.  You couldn't much help but laugh since she is so cute!

My little dancer...
These are after her performance.  My family (minus Ben  :o(   ) were there along with Tim's sister Janet.
Tim's mom was in Georgia so she came to her performance at the Mall of America the next weekend.

Uncle Jon and Sara brought Ellery her first bouquet of roses.  Mom and dad messed up and didn't communicate about flowers, but thankfully they came through!!!
Talking to Auntie.
With Great Grandma Frisk

Here they are goofing off in the crib.  Silly kids.
Caleb fishing in the back yard.  He has taken quite the interest in fishing.
He got the opportunity to go up to the Johnson cabin a few weeks ago and was
fishing up a storm.  I think he likes fishing more than Star Wars at this point.

Celebrating the 4th in our driveway.  This year, unlike 2 years ago, Caleb stayed and watched the fireworks in our driveway.  (2 yrs ago, the minute the noise started, he was off like a shot into the house and was crying for being so scared!)  He seemed to like them this year-he told my mom that he wasn't scared "cuz I'm 5"

This is a picture of the girls' room.  I still have to finish the baby's duvet cover, but she won't need it for a while anyway, so I can take my time.  I can't imagine I will have a whole lot of time for awhile.  I really like the way the room turned out.  It's pretty bright, but that's good.

I am now almost 39 weeks and VERY anxiously awaiting this little girl's arrival.  I keep telling the kids to tell her she can come out now.  Caleb's response to that is usually "no" but Ellie usually will tell her to come out so we can meet her.  I think Caleb is happy with life as is right now.  He has only one time told her to come out.  Oh well, he will get used to life right.

Sorry for the tease...

Okay, I tried 3x to get the video of Ellery dancing uploaded and it would NOT work. It just sat there and was "working". I will try again, but I am almost certain that it will not be. I will post some pictures from the day and some from her adventure at the Mall of America. She danced at the Mall this weekend and had so much fun. she has been jumping around and pretending to dance like the older girls ever since she watched them on sunday. It's pretty darn cute!

It has been a long time.

So, life has been not as great lately.  Tim still hasn't found a job-looking all the time :(  Then there's my profession...well I don't really care to talk about that.  Let's just say it's been taking it's toll on me.  Maybe that's why I've been gone so long.  All I can do is read updates on how everyone is not even talking.  I keep saying I just want it to be July, but then life will be hectic in a different way.  Oh the joys.
This is me, yesterday at 34 weeks.  I am getting excited for the baby to arrive.  I want her to wait a few more weeks, but then it will be time.  We are getting Ellery's room all set.  The bunk beds are due to arrive this week and she is already sleeping on her new big girl mattress.  She has made that transition nicely-thank goodness.

Anyway, on to the events of the last month or so...

Our first experience with foam curlers.
I put them in the day before her dance pictures just to see if they were going to take...

Didn't they turn out cute...

Caleb and most of his "team" on their field trip at school.  We went to Orchestra Hall.
It was actually quite an educational field trip and I even enjoyed myself!
Here is Ellery later that day all dolled up for her dance pictures.
It was fun for me to get her all ready.  Brought me back...
Isn't she sweet.

Our first and possibly only trip to the lake this year.  The kids had a really fun time.  I wish that we could get up there again, but I don't think it would be likely with a newborn!

Grandpa and his fishing buddy.
Caleb and daddy fishing off the dock.  Caleb is VERY interested in fishing, so daddy needs lessons!  We all had some good laughs watching Tim learn to take fish off of the hook.  As you can imagine, it was quite comical!
Ellery was the first one in the water this year!  Apparently there is a competition every year.
Ha-she won-does she get an award???
4 generations of McGrane girls.  Even the baby is included-sort of.

With Buddie.

Tune in next week.  Ellery has her dance recital tomorrow, so I will be posting again with pictures from her very first big day!  I am excited!  I hope she is too.  I might post a little video too if I can, but we'll see.
